We at Old Ship are committed to the spiritual lives and continual development of our youth. What is a Youth? A Youth is someone who is not yet an adult, but is not a child either. A Youth is someone in high school or late middle school.
Youth Group programming is open to all Old Ship youth in Grades 7 and up.
Our Youth Committee is charged with overseeing all aspects of youth programming, and with developing a calendar of meetings and events for the year.
Grades 8 & 9 – Our Whole LivesOctober – May
This year, Old Ship Church and Second Parish Hingham have joined forces to offer Our Whole Lives .
This program is designed to provide comprehensive, faith-based, sexuality education for youth.
Our Whole Lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their relationships, health and behavior in the context of their faith. It equips participants with accurate, age-appropriate information in six subject areas: human development, relationships, personal skills, sexual behavior, sexual health, and society and culture.
It provides not only facts about anatomy and human development, but helps participants to clarify their values, build interpersonal skills, and understand the social, emotional and spiritual aspects of sexuality.

We look to the Youth to determine the focus, content and activities for the year. With everyone's involvement, we are able to plan meetings, events, and projects that are exciting and inclusive - sometimes even life-changing.
In past years, activities have included:
